Sushi Tyme - Reservar uma mesa

I used to really love this place and have been going for years tasty, quick, reasonably priced but my visit today has me questioning what happened to Sushi Tyme. I got my usual chicken teriyaki bento box special and apparently they no longer allow sushi roll substitutions. I have always subbed in a 4-piece spicy tuna roll for the 4-piece california roll and was denied the ability to do this even though I happily offered to pay extra. The price for the combo has gone way up but the quality is not the same dry and salty chicken, no dressing on the salad as there usually is and I know it's a tough time for restaurants and I wanted Sushi Tyme to stick around, but it seems like the quality and cu...

I have only good things to say about Sushi Tyme. I ordered the steak teriyaki bento box and it was delicious. The potato croquette was especially tasty and the steak was cooked perfectly. Although some reviews mentioned that the teriyaki sauce was too sweet, I found it to be just right. The gyoza and California roll were also very enjoyable. The service was quick and the location was convenient. I will definitely return if I find myself downtown again!

Do not eat here if you are a vegetarian. The vegetable roll I ordered was terrible. The cucumbers, avocado, and lettuce tasted very old. I threw away both rolls after just two pieces. In Santa Barbara, where there are two weekly farmer's markets, there is no excuse for not using fresh produce. It is clear that this restaurant does not buy their ingredients locally. This was worse than a gas station quality avocado roll. I will never eat here again.

This restaurant is a self-service establishment where you order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. The food and service were both excellent and very friendly. It's a perfect spot to stop in for a quick and delicious meal. I would give the food a rating of 4 out of 5.

So good! Wasn't expecting much when i saw it was a hole in the wall type joint but everything was fresh and delicious. Only complaint is that it is far too small to sit down and eat there
