Sweet Taste Of Italy

Sweet Taste of Italy was a family favorite when we lived in Champlin. The House Special pasta was a favorite of mine, and I loved the bread. Even after moving away, I still made a point to stop by when I was visiting friends in Brooklyn Park and I cheered them on as they went on to win the Brooklyn Park Restaurant Challenge last week.Sadly, my love of Sweet Taste of Italy came to an abrupt and unexpected end today when I saw them mocking a prior Google review on Facebook this morning. This is my neighborhood Italian spot that I've had two recent experiences that were not up to expectation.When I arrived the place today, it was busy, a counter person asked who was there for pick-up. I answered but she didn't hear. When I went to catch her attention the cashier rudely told me to get to the back of the line.The food was edible after heating it at home, but not up to the standards I'd grown accustomed to. The meat sauce was not so much and it was the consistency of tomato paste. The lasagna was cool not hot, the meatballs I ordered and paid for were missing, the cheesy Italian bread, usually a highlight and a treat, had the texture of bread that was microwaved to melt the che...

6/9/24 I'm a food delivery driver and a rude staff look like a man questioning me about my arrival when I go by the time that I'm suppose to pick up the order and her response was well don't clock in if your not gonna get out of your car, I hope she doesn't talk to everyone like that

Amazing food and Always amazing staff and very friendly welcoming as you walk in the door every time highly recommended Dietary restrictions: Always always willing to work when you ask for no cheese on any item Wheelchair accessibility: Ez to get in and out of.

Not the most amazing food, but at least on par, if not better than, olive garden for a third of the price. Cozy and unique atmosphere with great staff and service.
