Sysonby Knoll - Reservar mesa

As part of our Middle England Cycling Tour, 24 cyclists dined at Sysonby Knoll Restaurant for four days. The preselected choice of menus for each of us ensured that we were served promptly each night. The menu was changed each day and the dishes on offer more than adequately catered for fussy-easters, vegetarians, pescatarians, all starving after spending their day cycling around and up the many hills of the area. After planning to visit for some time, I was excited to take advantage of a two for one offer on a meal at this restaurant. The offer was only valid on the specials menu, which had a limited selection of three dishes. I chose the coq au vin and enjoyed it, but my partner had to settle for gammon and chips as he did not like pesto or the chicken dish. Unfortunately, the gammon was tough and even requesting a steak knife did not improve it. The service at the restaurant was excellent - friendly and efficient. Last night we enjoyed a lovely festive meal. The table was set beautifully, all of the food was piping hot and delicious and good portions. Lots of fresh vegetables and one of our party stated on booking that they only liked 3 certain vegetables thinking this would give them leeway on providing some of what she liked but she got all 3, very impressed. Staff were friendly and professional. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I felt the stuffing wasn't home made, there was no bread sauce, not enough toast for the amount of pate and we didn't get a Xmas cracker this may be due to covid? Overall a lovely meal and others that were dining from the menu, their meals looked gorgeous.

Stayed here last night , it was a great experience, in the afternoon the sun was out and the gardens are beautiful. Lots of garden furniture of various sorts , to sit there with a prawn sandwich and a glass of wine and chill was an absolute treat. We ate in the restaurant at night. Great range of of food on the menu and at reasonable prices. The service was excellent, we wanted for nothing. A big thank you to the young man who checked us in and out sorry didnt get his name, but he was very knowledgeable about the hotel and you could tell he was proud to work there and so he should be! My family and I dined here for both breakfast and evening meal during our stay at the hotel. The hotel had recently re opened to the public following the Covid-19 crisis so we expected meal choices to be restricted. We were however, surprised at how much choice there was given how few guests there were at the hotel. Food was delicious and well presented. Prices were very reasonable, we expected to pay more than we did for the quality of meals we got. Staff service levels were exemplary. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Sysonby Knoll restaurant and hope to visit again sometime.

The menu offers a wide variety of options and the specials menu is a great value. The food is high quality and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The buffet options are diverse and complement the cooked breakfast choices well. Service is also efficient. Just a heads up, the portions are quite large, especially the mixed grill.

I have stayed at this hotel on business a number of times over the past 10 years Excellent comfortable rooms Great little restaurant with nice menu. The staff are always accommodating and friendly Breakfast made fresh to order Thanks again for another enjoyable stay

I dined at the restaurant for dinner on two consecutive evenings and also had breakfast there while staying at the hotel. I have no complaints about the service, variety of options, or the quality of the food. Reserve uma mesa agora

Would highly recommend this restaurant, large portions and loads of fresh vegetables. Very reasonably priced wines Beautiful views of the garden to relax you even more

Excellent Sunday lunch. Tables generously spaced out for Covid protection and hostesses wore face coverings. Sanitiser freely to use and plenty of it. Would recommend
