Tabac des Halles - Reservar uma mesa

I go to this bar/restaurant regularly and I have never been disappointed. Good, honest French food, great service, quick and authentic bistro style. All the meat is faultless, try the steak or the lamb cutlets, for example. My firm favourite though is the home made tart Tatin (upside down warm apple tart) yum!!

Bonne petite brasserie qui mérite qu'on s'y attarde et mise en valeur par la place de la République qui vient d'être entièrement rénovée .Le service est rapide et efficace, les plats (du jour et à la carte) sont variées et de bonne qualité et le prix est tout à fait correct.

A tabac would not normally be the place that I would associate with atmosphere and food - BUT - when strolling past it was obviously popular, and the visit was certainly worthwhile. A real old fashioned French bar feel with aptoned staff and surprisingly tasty food.

A great place for a relaxed French lunch. My friends enjoyed their plat du jour, and my steak was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
