Taqueria El Local - Reservar uma mesa

My girlfriend and I decided to try a new restaurant for Mexican food. I had gone with a friend years ago and we loved the huge burritos at Taqueria El Local. This time, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who didn't speak much English, but we managed to communicate just fine. The restaurant had a colorful interior and a local feel, with families enjoying their meals. The salsa was amazing, homemade and full of traditional spices. I had the Carne Asada and my girlfriend had the Mexican Barbecue plate, both dishes were fantastic. The meat was flavorful and tender, and I especially loved the grilled onions. We will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem of a restaurant in the future!

This place is a hidden gem, like literally no sign out front other than an old Red Wings shoes sign which I believe is for the place next door. It looks like a house but is obviously a business when you pull in to the side parking lot. The menu is expansive, portions are huge, and the food is tasty. I have pictured here the quesadilla and torts both steak. I eye spyed some dinner plates on my latest visit, definitely ordering one of those next time. If you like Mexican and are very, very hungry this place is for you.

We just ordered $50 worth of food and it all ended up in the trash after a couple bites. A full steak burrito, chicken burrito and steak al a mexicana all ended up in the garbage. The chicken smelled like canned chicken and the beans tasted like the chicken smelled. The steak w/both meals had the texture and flavor of cheap round steak. Mostly just sick to my stomach that we wasted $50.

Cockroach! Never eating there again. I'm sorry that's nasty!!!!! They couldn't help us. Instead they offer us another table.....WHAT are you kidding me right now...we left. They can keep my money, it's probably got cockroach eggs all over it anyways.

The shrimp used to taste great before but now it tastes bad. I would recommend getting the old chef back because the current one is not good.
