Taquitos West Avenue

One of my Coworkers was really talking this place up and it didn’t disappoint. The menu was straight forward you pay per taco. Order at the window either pay for take out or take a seat. The tacos were excellent we ordered every taco except the Al pastor.(Tripas,Suraduro,Cabeza,Lingua, Chorizo Bistek) The carnitas were savory, the cilantro and radish gave it great texture and taste and the salsa lended a nice acidic touch. The drinks hit the spot on this 104 degree day. I would like to come back on a weekend and try the Al pastor.

I wanted to like this place so bad, but it did not live up to the hype for me. The line was going out the door and down the sidewalk when I arrived, which got me pretty excited for some good food. Unfortunately, after waiting in line for 30 minutes outside in 100 degrees, the tacos were mediocre. The bistek and brisket were both suuuper dry and bland.. and the tacos themselves were mostly filled with onions and cilantro. They were stingy with the meat.. oh and no avocado?! Seriously?? Such a bummer. I won’t be back.

I saw a line outside this place one day that went all the way around the front door to the parking lot. So I had to check it out. Taquitos are very good and fresh. The salsa is also very good. You can watch the guy make them thru a window. Quite entertaining and you can see the fresh ingredients. A bit pricey but worth a trip to taste them.

We always pass by this place and it’s always packed! We came on a Monday and it was busy but not packed. My bf and I both ordered Bistek taquitos and WOW!!! They were soooo good. I would recommend this place, can’t get any better than this! Their taquitos are authentic and delicious ?Food: 5/5

OH MY GOD! This is the best taco place I have been in a very long time. They are authentic and delicious. They also have great prices so a plus and the staff is so nice. I wish I lived in San Antonio to come here everyday. Definately 10/10.
