Our family was craving Greek food and was pleasantly surprised to find a Greek restaurant in our area of the Schwarzwald. When we arrived, on a week night at 8pm, the restaurant was full. We were greeted at the door immediately by the proprietor and...welcomed warmly. We waited about 10 minutes for our table but it was well worth the wait. At our request, the owner recommended a wine for us and we ordered appetizers and main dishes. I was skeptical about the wine because I have never had a Greek wine that I wanted to drink again. Came to eat on a wet Tuesday in November, and the restaurant was pretty busy half full up, but a big party just came from down to the top as I arrived. The owners are family, and there are obviously many regular customers.... This service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The dining room has a little old-fashioned feeling, but is comfortable. The food... part of the problem is that Greek food is not really designed for single meals. The archetypal mezze is a court divided between at least half a dozen people. So a Pilikia starter (like a mini mezze on a plate) does not work completely. There were parts of gigantes (like Greek beans), two types of fried cheese in bread...

I wanted gyros bad, so when I found this on TripAdvisor with high ratings, I went away. The Gyros were probably the best I ever had. The owner and the two waiters made sure I had everything I needed. The gros were about $13 euros and the two beers I had were about $3 each. Make yourself a favor and try this place. You will not be disappointed!

We have ordered too much (as usual) because we are ridiculously greedy! We ordered olives and dips to begin and some other things. I'm sorry I don't remember exactly! When the main course came, we were full, so it couldn't really appreciate...

We found this Greek restaurant a few minutes walk from our hotel last month. It was very busy with locals, had a wide range of dishes, fast service, English language menus on request and good food. We're going back happy.
