Westward Ho is a lovely holiday destination. It's got a lovely sea refreshed lido, rock and sand beaches, some nice bars and this gem of a cafe. The owners were genuinely welcoming and we loved the Americana influenced ambience. It's central to the town square and the main entertainment amenities but most of all the food, especially the generously proportioned salads, toasties, sandwiches and stunning cakes are all beautifully made. My wife is a coeliac and their food including the epic gluten free salads, mains and cakes were a godsend. For us both though the stunning cakes were a highlighlight of our stay in Devon. We wanted to order 2 scones each for our cream tea, and thankfully the lady advised they are very big....infact amazingly big, one is ample, and you get lots of strawberry jam and clotted cream, all beautiful. The food here is superb, and large portions. The staff are great too.

Lovely location, overlooking the sea, helpful staff, huge pot of tea, lovely cups. We went for The Taylor, two massive scones and loads of jam and cream. Very reasonable prices for the perfect cream tea.

Popped in for lunch, massive doorstep sandwiches, lovely pot of tea too. Had a cake as a take out and that too was lovely (sorry no photo of that!

Never, ever disappoints. The best cakes around. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Love this little gem and will keep going back.
