"We had a large group that came here for our annual ski trip. It was your standard no frills hibachi. The server was great and the food came out quickly. The chef was fun and did a great job of presenting. The only reason for the 4 is that the food was only mediocre, especially for the price."

It's hard to go wrong with restaurants in Whistler provided you were thoughtful enough to book a reservation in advance. For our first night in town we booked an early dining since we were traveling from afar. The restaurant was nearly empty as they'd just opened for dinner. No strangers to teppanyaki, we were all comfortably seated and had ordered drinks and food within a few minutes. Might I recommend the purple haze? After a cold day, warm sake with a dash of chambord really hits the spot. They'll suggest keeping it on the grill to keep it warm. I'm skeptical that this had an impact ... the drink definitely cooled down after a bit. While the food here was pretty excellent all around and y...

We had a wonderful teppanyaki dinner at this restaurant! It is located in Whistler Village on the second floor above a retail plaza. The interior has 7-8 teppanyaki communal tables set up for lunch or dinner. We made a reservation for a group of 7 for dinner and were greeted by a friendly hostess. The service at the table was quick and we enjoyed the Japanese style Moscow mule. The Shirley Temple was perfect for the little one in our group. We tried a variety of dishes including the village, land, tuna tataki, and salmon sushi roll. There are also kids dinner sets available. The teppanyaki chef put on a show with the fire and flambés, just make sure to sit back from the grill! For dessert, t...

The service was excellent and our grill chef, Kizuki, was entertaining. However, the food was just okay. The steak was overcooked and the fried rice seemed pre-made instead of being cooked fresh on the hibachi grill, which is usually a highlight. The show lacked some excitement because of this, as there were no egg catching or shrimp tossing routines. Overall, if you are looking for that type of entertainment, this restaurant unfortunately does not provide it.

Such a fun and tasty Teppan restaurant. The vibes and experience was fun. The service was impressive. This is a great place for group or special occasions. It's so fun when you get to play with fire and see the cooking right in front of you. The only problem I had today was the quality of the steak, there were a bit too chewy and some tendon in the meat to make it hard to digest. Hopefully it might be just a miss on the meat.
