Thai-Cite Sainte Annes de Beaupre

It's a bit amusing that the last two meals I've had in Quebec have been Asian -- one being in Orford (excellent Vietnamese food) and Thai Cite in Ste. Anne de Beaupre.Reservations would be highly recommended as the place is pretty packed (we went on a Saturday night), and the hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. As we didn't have reservations, and since we were in the adjacent hotel, we voted for takeout, and it didn't disappoint. The food isn't high-end Thai, but it doesn't charge like that either. Dinner for two is under $35.00 and it's hard to finish everything that we got (that includes tax, but less a 10% discount as we were in the hotel where the restaurant is located). It...

My husband and I were greeted warmly by Bory, Thai-Cite receptionist/waitress. Although the restaurant had a lot of clientele, we were quickly seated, given menus and our questions about the menu selections were answered with a smile! We started with two dishes for dinner - shrimp pad thai and fried rice) and were surprised by the big servings. Both were very tasty and delicious and we could not try their desserts because we were so full! It was our last night at Sainte Anne de Beaupre and did not have any more Canadian dollars. Make a reservation if you can, seating can be difficult. The soup broth was a bit salty for our taste. The fried wontons were the best part of the meal. The egg rolls were decent. I had the ginger chicken and found it tasty if I mixed it on my plate. The other family members found their meals cashew chicken, lemon grass, and pad Thai were just ok. Service was just so-so.

A pure delight every time. warm and very friendly atmosphere. several choices on the menu. the dishes are generous and tasty. For me, I often opt for the tum yum soup, the imperial rolls and the chicken five delights. the fact that we can bring our wine allows us to have a hearty meal at less cost. Reserve uma mesa agora

small restaurant without any pretention the food is sublime and tasty there; each butcher an explosion of flavor. I often go there and I recommend it to all. probably the most beautiful culinary discovery to make on the coast of beautifulpre.

we read the comments before we tried it and we were disappointed. The thai pad was fade and there was no seasoning. Mekong shrimp were too cooked. Bad report quality price. too expensive for the quality of foods, service etc

Best pad Thai ever and the general Tao chicken was fabulous. This is no Thai express even though it was fast. If you are ever in the area make a point of stopping by. Right behind chez Charley condo and motel.

clean and well maintained restaurant. very good food, cooked with care, fresh vegetables, and especially, the dishes are warm so tasty. Bring your wine.

we are regular customers of this restaurant. the kitchen is good and the service excellent. The atmosphere is super casual. 5 stars.
