Thai Eatdustry - Reservar uma mesa

A party of 6 of us went to the Thai Eatdustry last Saturday night. The same party of six but with one additional person (7 in all) also went there five weeks ago. This speaks volumes for the Thai Eatdustry in that we all went back there again so soon.Like most Asian restaurants, you would'nt 'write home' about the decor! Very stark with too much lighting, as usual.However, the food is lovely! Typical Thai food but food that says 'fresh'! I rang and ordered a takeaway and was advised that there would be approximately an hour wait, not a problem as I wasn't in a hurry but when I got there to pick up my meal which came to $17.50 I pulled out my debit card and was told "we don't take card payments for purchases under $20" You have got to be kidding! I told her I had no cash which is not uncommon these days and was told it would cost $1.00 to use my card!! This is absolutely disgraceful, it doesn't cost anywhere near that much to process a transaction and I consider that a money grabbing rip off!! Booked for a mid week meal with friends. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was a cold night and the restaurant was warm, even though the was plenty of take away activity. We all enjoyed our meals. The duck was tender with a very tasty sauce. The pork and ginger was tasty and you could taste the ginger, but it was not overwhelming. We were the last to leave, but we not hurried out of the restaurant. It's nice to have a BYO close to home.

We dined here as a table of 10 for 3 birthdays and the food was fantastic. All meals came out together and better than we ever thought. Great flavour taste and price. I would say that this is possibly Hobarts best Thai.

Visited this restaurant twice during our stay with relatives in Tasmania. Delighted to recommend it as the food is superb. Portions are generous and filling and everyone is catered for - including children.
