The 7th Avenue - Reservar uma mesa

This restaurant has changed in the last two years and has gone more upmarket than the previous American-style fast food. The menu is more ambitious, its two highlights being lamb shank and slice of simmental beef. The waiters are pleasant and one of them puts on a show when preparing pasta in a hollowed-out whole parmesan. There are no 50cl pichets of wine, this quantity is only available in bottles and is more expensive but better quality. We went twice. The first time we had the lamb and beef, the service was excellent and we thought it terrific. The second time my wife's fish on risotto was bland, and my duck leg was very chewey and fatty. Went for a quick supper in a restaurant that caters easily for a high turnover of customers. The American style menu emphasises burgers but we had a 'fish and chips ' dish and a chicken Caesar salad. The fish and chips did not (and could not) approach the standard of a British coastal classic but the Caesar salad was really very good, although perhaps too many croutons and disappointingly no lardons. The chicken was cooked in two ways and succulent rather than dry. These two mains, a litre of Pellegrino and a half litre of carafe red cost around €30. Service obliging and efficient.

Overall the burgers we had did not taste very well, the bun was rather a ciabatta than a typical burger bun, the meat was only very few salted and spiced and the pattys to big and not very fine prepared through the machine. The fries swam in oil and the salat was poor. I am afraid that we will not return despite the cery friendly atmosphere, sorry mais vous avez a ameliorer bc.

The service was good and friendly, food was good and tasty we was 6 people who ordered different dishes and no complain at all. The atmosphere is nice and the prices are reasonable, for sure we return to this place.

Best « souris d agneau » (lamb shank) In a while very good chef in the kitchen well done « la vie est une fête »
