The Barn Coffee & Social House

It’s a coffee place. For young people. We had a dog, so wanted to sit outside, tables and seats were wet. I know it’s October, but if you have outdoor seating, make it useable. It wasn’t busy, so there was time to wipe the tables and chairs outside amped to replace the paper towel in the washroom. A garbage can outside would encourage people to put things in the garbage instead of leaving on the table. I make an extra effort to use independent coffee shops, but I can see why people go to Tim Hortons, as there are minimum standards that are always met.

For the staff working Sunday Nov 27 in Mahone Bay you are amazing, so kind and speedy. Amazing atmosphere perfect for a chilly day to feel cozy, tops off to the owners for keeping such a wonderful atmosphere and charm to the building. This is a must go spot if you’re visiting Mahone Bay, seriously wonderful, staff is so accommodating, lots of seating, lots of dietary options for people with restrictions. Wish I said an extra thank you to the staff today for being so helpful! 11/10 business all around wish I could give 10 stars.

the barn is a rustic, comfortable and cozy coffee shop in mahone bay. the decor is much oriented with the name of the company, wood walls, old buttons and many rural touches. they also sell beautiful local ceramics, which a beautiful small town vibe. they offer plant-based milk options with a lot of drinks options and also have a vegan energy ball. the day I was also had fresh baked pumpkin seasoned donuts that were gluten-free and vegan that were so delicious! this is a definitiw one of my favorite spots in mahone bay.

Breakfast with friends. In converting this old barn to an eatery, the owners preserved the building's charm. Great, cozy atmosphere. People seemed to be definitely accepting the invitation to hang out for as long as they wanted. We ate up in the hayloft very nice. My rating given for the ambiance, not the food. Coffee was good. I really enjoy coming with friends in the mood. it is a beautiful building that is personal is beautiful and it has a great atmosphere that feels very “Nova Scotian”. milk alternative and many delicious drinks options. not many vegan food options I think.

beautiful place to stop for a coffee. have not seen any vegan snack options, but I think they have them in the rule. there is a small coffee car outside, and then a complete caffeine with sitting. great place to stop by!

Excellent staff behind the counter. Fast and courteous service. Ordered double espressos, a cinnamon roll and a pumpkin spice donut. All was excellent. We will be back. Nice pottery and other items for sale there too.

Such a cute and friendly spot! Great local flavor. Cinnamon buns, scones and muffins all delicious. Happy to pull up a chair next to others to have tea and coffee and chat. Beautiful decor. Small but a fun stop. Reserve uma mesa agora

A friend of mine who lived in Halifax recommended the Barn and it did not disappoint. I had a delicious scone that was quite sizable. The Barn has a great vibe to it. I would definitely return.

this is a great place to meet for a coffee, tee, latte and goodie. vegan snacks not always available, but drinks are veganized. great personal atmosphere.
