The British Queen, Meldreth

This was our first experience of eating out since lockdown! A party of 4 celebrating two birthdays. Booking was easy by phone a very helpful courteous young lady. Greeting service on the day was in the same vein, thank you. A varied menu with the amount of choice just right. We'd heard about the excellent pies and the men were not disappointed! The ladies had the balatin of chicken stuffed with apricots absolutely delicious. A fair choice of desserts if one had room to savour! Altogether a very pleasant visit we will be back!

Stayed in the rooms at the back of the pub it was very clean and modern purpose built building with all things needed, towels, mini soaps, kettle, tea coffee cups. Had our evening meal at pub very nice. Lovely place to stay over and explore the area. Breakfast lovely too, typical all Full English) pre order what you want night before, there were other choices but not interested in them

Popped in for lunch and asked for two jacket potatoes, to which the none too friendly landlord said 'we stop serving food at 2.00 ' it was 2.03!!!! Won 't be returning.

Great food, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere. Not the easiest of places to enter by wheelchair. Service a bit slow but it was a busy Saturday night.

Had a lovely meal for 20 in the upstairs function room
