The Cock Horse Inn

Lovely old village pub in Detling, near Maidstone. Friendly, welcoming bar staff. Good selection of beers, wine and spirits. Very good menu at very reasonable prices. I had chicken pie which was delicious and my wife had fish and chips. The fish was battered fresh haddock and was so big that she could eat many of the chips. If you get the opportunity please go there, you will not be disappointed. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips

Used a few times to meet up with friends, very friendly landlord, pub decor nothing to write about , good sized carpark at back,it's just a nice old fashioned pub in Detling

Really nice pub. Very friendly staff. Stopped for a lunch after a long walk. Food was great, except the onion rings which were just a bit greasy.
