The Counting House

I am annoyed with The Counting House as the concept of a classy wine bar as my local is attractive. It could be an amazing place for locals and visitors to the area if they could get the service and the Menu right. Food is nice, reasonably priced but the service is shocking. Two recent visits items were missing from the meal with an explanation of Sorry we have ran out . Not acceptable when 1 of the visits we had to advise of our meals prior the booking due to the numbers being 9 people. 2nd visit because of the experience of missing items the first time we called to make sure the meals we wanted were going to be available with the response of We will ensure it is . We have been here a number of times and never had a bad meal, service is great and the choice of drinks is really diverse. It may be small but it has a welcoming atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble, allergies are catered for, you only have to ask. We will be BACK!
