The Creole Burger Southern Kitchen

This was a nice spot for a date night. We sat inside, and once the server had a chance to catch up, she was super attentive. We had the grilled cheese for an appetizer and the jambalaya with chicken and andouille sausage for our main— not super complex flavors but still tasty, filling, and with good heat. I've never had beignets, so I've got no point of comparison, but they were delicious! Served piping hot with mango-pineapple jam. Definitely would go back just for those. The Creole has outdoor seating, too, for those who are trying to be more socially distanced.

Loves this lil cozy place. Comfort food best. However, I had the chicken chicken and the sauce was just pouring over the chicken almost not completely. The sauce was great, but the chicken was baked too hard and strong. I had her shrimps with grits I usually love tremendously. But this time it was good. Lack of some taste and the shrimps had the peels still on them. You've never been like that. I don't know. Maybe there was another cook back there, but things didn't taste their most amazing way.

Absolutely delicious! Started with the Cornbread Basket with honey butter, shrimp étouffée (feeded Andouillewurst), and then our server Kayla (which was also the bartender) made me a Trust Me Cocktail. I told her what I usually drank and she made you run. She nailed it! So good I ordered 2 of them and they were only $10 per. What a jewel here in the old town of Lansing. This is New Orleans in Michigan. YUM!

This place is fantastic! Had a really great time with my wife for a date night. Benjamin, our bartender was really wonderful and the atmosphere of the place was perfect. Simple, casual and cool. The drinks were extremely unique and absolutely delicious. Our food was great and there were several other items we wanted to try. We're definitely coming back. The Beso de Muerte is a must to taste cocktail!

The first time here. As they opened, they sat at the bar. The staff was very accommodating and talking to us because nobody else was here. Ordered shrimps and grits and the hot chicken sandwich. Both were good. Come back.
