Traditional pub grub. I had a beer battered fish which was lovely. Unfortunately the chips were not to my taste. The chips are so fat that they cease to resemble a chip and are more like fingers of flowery baked potato. I ate them with a wodge of tomato ketchup, but would have much preferred proper fish and chip type chips. My friend had their house burger which she liked up to when she got to the middle of the burger meat which was pretty solid and impenetrable without a lot of fork pressure. We sent it back and were offered a replacement, but we were full by then and we declined. The chef passed comment through the staff and seemed to think we were just unlucky.
