The Dukes Head Public House

This was our first time here. A lovely traditional pub with friendly staff. There was a local community feel about the place but we were made to feel very welcome. Service was efficient and not too intrusive. The food we ordered was good qaulity there is a good selection of traditional pub choices plus some nice specials. A good selection of beers and lagers. Overall we had a really good lunch and will definitely be back

Fantastic family run pub, good meal selection and some are a slight slant on the traditional pub food. I would suggest phone and book as they are not very big. I had to book 2 weeks in advance. They don't really have a kids menu, which is the only drawback as we had to order 2 adult meals to feed 3 kids. All in all, we will be back again and have already got a Sunday booking already sorted for 2 weeks time.

the first time in this fabulous restaurant and it lived definitiw up to our expectations. we hadn't booked, but they took us away with a smile. the team was so attentive and so friendly. eating was really good, we had a bark meat and a truthahnbread that were very generous portions and really delicious. will be absolutely back, thank you

Fits the bill perfectly for a Sunday roast with a group of friends. Food was spot on with generous portions and the menu was varied. Staff were friendly and the Dukes Head Larger and IPA were decent. Dropping a star as would have liked a bit more time at the table and it was a bit on the cosy side. Will definitely come back again.
