Excellent. What a very unexpected but extremely pleasant experience this was. Excellent staff. Excellent food. A beautifully landscaped garden. The Moroccan lamb filo pastry pie with feta and olive salad £14) and curried lentil puff pastry pie with chickpea salad £13) were absolutely delicious and well worth the visit alone. And pints under a fiver including a locally produces lager!!! The chips are amazing! All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. A lot of thought has clearly gone into creating a very pretty and comfortable outside space. Head and shoulders the best beer garden I've been in for as long as I can remember. ostbourne (05/06/22) when we were in the eight for the first time a few months ago, we were back 3 times. a great example of what a pub should be. friendly, friendly staff, good atmosphere and great pub food. a small menu, which is a sign of locally cultivated food and a large cook that perfectly prepares everything. the chef has even picked up the special requirements of one of the people in my party, to change and cook a separate dish that was not even on the menu. it was important to them that we had a good meal and a pleasant time. a quality lacks in most other pubs/restaurants. they even had tasty for the new puppy in our family, so even the dog had a great time! a brilliant example of...

I checked this pub four years ago. it is now under new management and is quite transformed, so I have deleted my old review. the pub was turned inside and outside. the interieur is slightly modern and airy and there is now a large marquee in the garden. eating is imaginative and excellent, although we thought that a bit more thoughts seem to go into the appetizers than the main courses. the servings are generous and we had no place to dessert. there is an excellent selection of caught ales and apple wine and a good wine list. the pub has become quite popular and the booking is important. the personal was also beautiful and friendly.

visited on Friday afternoon (8/4/2022). the recently updated bar area is now the restaurant with table service. the lunch was very good with a good pub menu. there is a good selection of local and gastronomy on the pumps. the new outdoor bar and kitchen will work well in the summer months with the usual walkers of butts browser and the down there. was nice to talk to the owner about lunch, adding a personal note.

excellent eating with a well thought-out menu. they have just opened in free barn and grill and had fantastic spread of eating. tomahawk steak, butterflied makrele, garlic yoghurt marinade lammskewers. everything with a breathtaking view. they had decent beer. nice to see a pub that is probably managed and service with a smile.
