Like every Wednesday, I was visiting one of the many restaurants in my beautiful city of Waltham. Usually I always have a different guest. This time we decided to try The Federal, a modern steakhouse Restaurant with classic Italian Vibe, that has already set a high standard to the point that if I can add another star I will do it. While the restaurant is beautifully ordered, the overpriced mediocre food led to a very disappointing experience. My $36 swordfish entree was a salty, dried part. And although the waiting staff takes up and is pleasant, the service was very slow, which led to a cozy dinner of 3 and 1/2 hours. No place I would recommend.

Great food. Delicious and beautiful presentation. Excellent service. The staff was attentive and engaged, but not in the face. The restaurant is spacious, you do not feel like eating with strangers at other tables. Will definitely eat again here.

The average restaurant has no soul. Just a good meal, little expensive. The server was really nice, but the hostess and especially manager was strange. The attitude should be improved

Our meal was great on the terrace. I appreciated the selection of cocktails and wine lists. While we had a light dinner, the oysters, appetizers and shared steak were all delicious.
