The Garlic - Reservar mesa

The food was awful. We ordered vegetable paneer , Garlic Mushroom , Tarka Daal , Daal Masala and some breads and boiled rice from the menu. To start with Vegetable Paneer the name is deceiving/fraud as there was no Paneer (Paneer is an Indian Cottage cheese) rather it was baked on top with Mozzarella cheese. Mushroom in Garlic Mushroom was Raw and not edible. Daal Tarka was having around 15 pieces of big raw garlic size of a Pound 1 coin. On top, when i called the restaurant to give this feedback, the manager Alli Anwar was rude, not taking any feedback at all. so before I get into this- I am a big fan of Indian and also up for trying new places, well well well NEVER AGAIN. 2 hours delivery when it was originally meant to be 45 mins to 1 hour MAX. When we rang after 1 hour and man said 5 minutes but instead had to wait another HOUR for my order, could of plucked the chicken myself! To make it even worse when it arrived they sent the WRONG ORDER. Brilliant. So here I am sat here writing this review waiting to receive my tikka... 2.5 hours later. Not happy. Feeling very hungry and frustrated what sort of monstrosity did I receive)

Food was Excellent, plentiful, tasty and good value for money. King Prawn Dansak was spot on and extremely tasty, lentils cooked to perfection. Mojo nan is our all time favourite!!! Tandoori Mixed grill....delicious with a selection of tasty meats fresh and succulent. Chicken sagg was extremely yummy lots of fresh spinach. Butter chicken, creamy and smooth cooked to perfection. Tarka dhal fresh, tasty and garlicky. Upon collection the staff were welcoming and professional We thank you Ali and kitchen team for another fabulous takeaway!!!

The lamb, from several dishes were chewie or dry, the starter butterfly prawn looked disgusting and caused sickness, 'Garlic Tikka Delight ' was far from a delight to eat, pilau rice was very much not that at all. All naan 's were very doughy. Mixed grill was drier than the dessert, poppadoms were stale in the middle not even sure how they can happen! Such a shame as this used to be a great takeaway. We have ordered from them countless times and never had a bad one the food is delicious, generous portions, really polite staff when we’ve collected in person. Ordered for delivery today to be delivered ASAP and it came 20 minutes earlier than predicted. I would highly recommend it!

We’ve ordered meals for delivery a few times now following family recommendation each time we’ve found the food to be delicious! The new online ordering service is easy to use and the delivery man is friendly and efficient.

I order from the Garlic regularly but today was advised they had increased the minimum order for delivery from £20 to £30. I guess it's one way of cashing in on the lockdown. I will NOT be ordering from them again

Ordered a meal online for delivery, waited over 2 hours despite numerous phone calls. No return calls, no apologies, no refund. Definitely the worst delivery service ever! Not recommended. Reserve uma mesa agora

Gutted, just had the worst curry i have ever had. Normally i would say this is one of the best Indian takeaways in Gloucester but tonights was rubbish, dont know what has happened.

Awesome takeaway, food always piping hot, delivery is early, never had any problem, great value, staff very friendly, by far the best 10/10
