The George - Reservar mesa

A very big thanks to all staff working 24/10/23 to 25/10/23, who accommodated us so professionally and kindly during our overnight stay. I came down with my brother and sister for an overnight stay prior to attending the service to honour a long-standing friend (of 67 years) who moved on at the end of September. We booked a family room which was spacious, spotlessly clean, well-appointed and quiet with very comfortable beds and a good en suite- teas, coffees, water and instructions/guidance for stay were all in evidence. After a pleasant stroll around town, we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated at a nice table. We started off by ordering drinks at the bar, which were served by a friendly bartender. The coffee was brought to our table, followed by some delicious sandwiches that almost felt like a full meal. The staff was very polite and attentive, with excellent knowledge of the menu. We ended up spending quite some time there because of how comfortable and inviting the atmosphere was. Overall, a truly lovely dining experience. Well done!

Me and a friend regularly visit here for lunch (at the very least once a fortnight). Staff are always lovely especially the lunchtime ladies Andrea and Vicky. They are always so cheerful and they really add to the up beat atmosphere. Food is always delicious.. over the years we’ve worked through every item on the menu I’m sure. We’ve tried other places in town but nowhere compares to The George. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a drink or bite to eat when in Frome.

Lovely spot for a bit of lunch. Family friendly and you can bring your dog. Attentive staff, brilliant food, the manager was very welcoming!

Gorgeous hotel, with great rooms, great bar and lovely food and the wonderful Wayne. Perfect stop over in Frome, highly recommended.

Dog friendly, which is always a bonus. Good choice of food and friendly staff. Not our first visit .
