I ordered the Mississippi Nights sandwich with a delicious side of mac and cheese. The establishment also has self-serve refillable soft drinks. The food was amazing. The sandwich was full of flavor from the different combination of meats, like the turkey, roast beef and bacon with the pepper jack cheese and red pepper spread. The Gramophone is truly very unique in the different sandwiches they serve judging from the items on the menu, the different combination of ingredients used and clearly has established its very own trademark, especially with the crumbled barbecue chips they seem to put on everything. I usually take photos of my food, but it disappeared too quickly because it was so delicious. I consider myself a sandwich connoisseur, and I must say that these were the best five sandwiches I have ever tasted. We tried the Fight Club, the one with turkey, which reminded me of a cheese steak, a Philly cheesesteak, and a grilled cheese. All top-notch quality with generous amounts of meat – it was amazing. But you know what stood out to me the most? The bread. Not many places get that right, but in this case, the sandwiches had the most perfect bread. This place has DELICIOUS sandwiches. We're staying nearby, and we walked over not expecting this level of yum. I had a half turkey reuben that totally hit the spot, and I tried my husband's Philly Cheese steak that was extremely tasty (if the veggies were a little too soft and watery). The kiddo got something that had boss sauce, which we had on the side...but it wasn't spicy. It was more thousand island-ish.There isn't a ton of seating, and I'd say it is kid-ok rather than kid-friendly. This is such a great neighborhood. Places like this will have us coming back for sure.

The Gramophone has the BEST sandwiches in the city hands down! I put them up against any other place in STL. The selection is unmatched. From hot to cold to different types of bread you can’t go wrong here. And they stay open late! Closed on Mondays. I encourage you to try their menu. You won’t be disappointed. Great selection of local beer, a full bar, plenty of seating inside and out back. Great sides like chips, jalapeño popper soup, and Mac n cheese with red hot ripplets on top. This restaurant offers amazing sandwiches in a trendy setting. There are plenty of seats, a bar for drinks, and a few pinball machines. The mac and cheese and baked potato sides are delicious. The sandwiches are to die for. It's a perfect spot for lunch or to meet up with friends in the evening. It's a lovely place to grab a sandwich after a night out.

I had the beef sandwich, which had more bread than meat and cheese. The flavor was excellent. Everyone else in our group ordered large sandwiches or wraps and were satisfied with their choices. The restaurant is quite noisy, so if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, many people opt for takeout as an alternative.

Warning, if you take your partner here they will want to eat here several times a week, maybe its just mine but we both adore this place. Best sandwiches in the grive as far as im concerned. Plus its open late so it makes a killer hangover meal
