This little restaurant with only a few tables is very busy with takeaways. We had a little table for two in the window of this converted shop unit. The service was diffident and perhaps even a little bit nervous. It took two attempts ordering to get the right drinks. We only ordered a main course as we were going to a show after the meal but there was quite a wait before it arrived. I think that the reason for this is that all the meat; in our case, chicken and lamb were cooked from raw for each dish. This super restaurant has been a great favourite of mine for 16 years!! The Nepalise cuisine is renowned for its use of aromatic herbs and spices and is, in every way, quite unlike Indian and Bangladeshi ghi butter enhanced dishes. You will receive a very warm welcome from the staff. A great bonus for the discerning diners of Bexhill is that the Gurkha is now open from 4.00 p.m. on Mondays, when almost all other Eastern themed restaurants in Bexhill are closed. Went here for a meal before a concert at the de la warr. Food was outstanding, massive portions and beautifully presented. We couldn't eat it all. Service was excellent too. 2 of us had 4 large poppadums and dips plus 2 starters 2 mains and 2 large glasses of wine and a pint of cider was £60.00 highly recommend. Outside looks a bit dated/tired but you won't be sorry !!

My partner and I visited this small restaurant in Bexhill for the first time tonight. Everything surpassed our expectations. The food was absolutely incredible, with amazing flavors and taste. The service was excellent. This restaurant is a hidden gem. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to the management and staff at Gurkha Kitchen on Sackville Road in Bexhill.

The food was delicious but service very slow patchy. Starter plates not cleared, long wait for food drinks. Nothing one extra member of staff wouldn't fix.
