Celebrating a family birthday. Nine adults three children. Sunday afternoon. Running a bit late with food but hey ho that is not a big problem just another drink. Table ready one of the couples has a prior appointment so their order was taken first and put through with the children's order, took no time at all so happy bunnies. The menu was very extensive for a Sunday lunch time so a lot of decisions to be made. Best to browse on line before you go. Starters half of the adults went for garlic mushrooms the other half prawn cocktail. Mains divided between the lamb beef and steak and ale pie. Our conservation group celebrated Christmas and our 30th anniversary with an excellent lunch for 16 of us in n the Half Moon. Marcus and his team were very welcoming and we enjoyed a range of dishes from the menu. The pies, fish and chips and sea bass were all cooked well and nicely presented, while the desserts were very tempting. Everybody commented that they would go back separately.

Two filet steaks with garnish, chips and a lovely sauce of your choice, a bottle of house wine, £40 ! Absolutely brilliant! Great service , good beers, lovely dining room, you just can't fault it. Highly recommended, we will be back soon. Thank you.

Had Sunday lunch here with family warm welcome and efficient service, perfect seating location and exceptional food lamb dinner, turkey dinner, nut roast and no meat alternatives. Delicious desserts! Will definitely come again!

Sampled the steak night which was absolutely fantastic. Top quality food and great value. The veggie options were delicious too. Lovely atmosphere in the dining room and great service. Can't wait to return.
