we found this little jewel of a place because my partner had booked us in a similar sounding pub he did not recognize was a 3 hour car away! So when I asked the name to put in the satnav, it naturally brought up the local pub this name. we came, gave our names and of course they had not our booking, we were not yet aware that we were in the wrong pub at this point, but the host could not have been more accommodating. they apologised for the error (our mistake! and found us a seat. the bar area was quite busy and so cozy it was quite loud, we decided to have only a few drinks instead of eating. we explained this to our host who immediately asked to come and see another table to see if it was...

The restaurant is now under new management since September 2018. My first visit was fantastic, we received a warm welcome and the staff's menu recommendations were spot on. The menu was tailored to the season and we were not disappointed. I will definitely be returning. Update: I have returned and had another amazing evening, the wine selection is fantastic.

great place. very friendly staff and nice eating in a beautiful environment. good clean accommodation with small extras that make the stay even more pleasant. the breakfast was excellent in their caffe in front of location. very recommended.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Leicester. The room was very nice, however I had to leave before breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The dinner I had the night before was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant.

I stayed at this restaurant for two nights in May 2018. I had dinner on the first night and bar snacks on the second night. The service was excellent and attentive, and the food was delicious and faultless.
