The Harrow Inn - Reservar uma mesa

We rang ahead on returning from the coast on August bank holiday to be told plenty of room . On arrival we were greeted no problem at all ... strangely from an old classmate of my Sons. Once seated the service disappeared. I spent over 15 minutes trying to grab various staff members attention. They appeared to have learnt the art of manoeuvring around the bar area without ever looking up at any tables !! Eventually I managed to grab the attention of one who passed me on to another I paid for our drink and left without ordering . Staff training needs to be addressed....as a business person I cannot think how much revenue is being missed by the staff not being pro active and lack of peripheral...

I have dined at this restaurant and enjoyed drinks here several times without any issues. However, when I arrived today for a table that I had reserved a week ago, I was disappointed. Despite the place being quiet, they refused to seat us in the bar area and claimed that others had just booked a minute ago. We were placed in an annex with families and young children, which was not a relaxing environment at all. It's a shame because the food here is actually quite good. We decided to go to the Wattenden instead, where we received great service and they were very accommodating.

We had the most amazing Sunday roast yesterday at the Harrow, Chaldon. I can honestly say it was the best food I have had out round where we live in a VERY long time. There were 5 of us and had a mix of beef, chicken and the traditional turkey as it’s Christmas lol and they were all 10/10 Staff really accommodating, chefs cooking spot on and will definitely be back with the extended family

I recently went to The Harrow with a friend on the recommendation of someone else. The pub has a charming and cozy atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. I ordered the scampi and chips, which was delicious. I would definitely return to The Harrow if I find myself in the area again.

Terrible now, they have killed what used to be an absolute gem of a place. Staff are miserable and rude, service is shocking and food was really poor quality.
