i have to start by saying i have given this place a review before a few years ago and it's that long since we have given the new owners a go. first off the staff are all friendly and welcoming the drinks were nicely chilled, I booked a table for early evening what i didn't know at the time we were a week early lol but the staff accommodated us perfectly in fact they went the extra mile as the restaurant area was closed and now is only used on a Sunday or for special booking but they allowed us to eat in the main restaurant when we asked the food was nicely cooked and served and offered value for money and yes we will be returning.

Ordered a take away after having had a difficult day, we decided to cancel eating out elsewhere and ordered from the Heatherscinstead. They took our order and we walked into town for a pre-dinner drink. Shortly before collecting our take away they called and said they had sold out. Ended up with no dinner,ca great end to a bad day. Put a 'massively disappointed ' comment on FB and then got an abusive phone call from the owner, calling names and threatening to sue me for 'defamation of character for being massively disappointed that they took my order and then sold it to someone else! Still massively disappointed.

Today 15th June 2021, the Anglican local church had a meal here to bid farewell to friends who are returning to the UK. We booked the restaurant exclusively and over 50 people attended. The food was first class and Ally, Julie and their team made the whole afternoon a stress free, joyous afternoon. I highly recommend this venue if you want a private party, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much for an excellent meal.

Not sure if it was salt beef, or just a tonne of salt in the beef curry, but couldn't eat it and gave me dreadful indigestion, went home and was horribly sick. Once it was out of my system I was fine, so definitely the food and not a bug.

Have been here twice for food now and have not been disappointed either time. The food standard is amazing and the presentation is great. The service is friendly and quick. They have a very well-stocked bar too. Will definitely be back.
