The Hideaway - Odenton

Here on my solo, like a regular meal here and I just ordered the Crabby frits. The frits were slightly boiled and the creamy crab meat was delicious. I didn't return my order, I just sucked it up and ate it. I bought a double order of their award Winning Wings, (Buffalo) to take home. To participate in this picturesque, hidden place, you enter the side door (where the parking is). This place is behind (the place at the Odenton Station) and there are parking spaces on the side of the road opposite the furnishings. When I came to the facility, everyone was nice and welcoming. First visit was great, looking forward to going back to this local neighborhood gem. Place has great atmosphere and character, you can tell they care about their food and have been there a long time which reinforces they must care about the quality. They are also very serious about their bourbon though I was there for lunch not a buzz. I got an order of chicken wings and they were great, cooked correctly with a good dry rub. The rub was a little too sweet for me, but they have a nice selection of barbecue sauces (pic) that I enjoyed trying. Cream of crab was great, I liked the corn in it. The food was great. The ambience was quirky and funny. We swore our GPS took us to a wild geese hunt. (The restaurant is named accordingly! Our waitress was a little slow, but nice. The kitchen turned out our order very fast. The manager stopped at our table and was great... made us really welcome. Their wings are smoked, then flash fried and are the best wings we had in a long time. We came at 11:00 on a Sunday. We're coming back!

Really amazing barbecue restaurant in a residential area away from the beaten path. Spacious food with outdoor terrace. BBQ gliding surfaces are great and everything else has a bbq flavor, such as the Chesapeake crab stew, Mac n cheese and Brussels spines. Definitely the time to taste their good food!

Good grill for Maryland. Wing, pulled pig and sweet tea would happen for a decent restaurant in the south. Servers worked hard on a busy day and we are back.
