The Homestead Cafe Cabins

Very understaffed on a holiday weekend. One server and one fry cook. The server was frazzled and overworked, so I don't blame her for being a little snippy, but the food was just terrible. Pancakes were undercooked (they're supposed to change color before you serve them) and whatever cutlet my friend ordered was 95% breading. On top of that, this place is expensive for what you order because it's right off of the freeway. If you're looking for somewhere to stop for lunch during a road trip, keep driving.

My friends and I stopped at the Homestead Cafe on the way to Bigfork Montana. They had mushroom Swiss Burgers and I had a Chicken Malibu. We were really Surprised how good they were. On the way back home to Idaho we made it just in time to eat again at the Homestead again before they closed at 2:00. We all three had patty melts with fries!! So so good !! Thanks to the Cook Tom that cares what he makes for the customers!! I can’t wait to come back and hope he’s still the cook there!!

We stopped here heading Northbound. While there aren't many food choices around, this one is OK. Over priced food. $16+ for a sandwiches The turkey sandwich with fries was ok, but expensive. My husband ordered chips with his grilled cheese sandwich, and they gave him fries. The waitress didn't seem willing or happy to correct the mistake, so we let it go. I would probably not return to this food stop.

Great customer service and delicious food. We are remodeling our house and I didn’t want to cook. I am so happy I called and ordered dinner! Our four kids were very pleased with their burgers and fries. Thank you, Homestead Cafe :

The Hand pressed burger is awesome. Great small town feel.
