Though server was polite, friendly, and accommodating, servers need to be trained on types of tea, approximate amount of caffeine, and the fact that tea leaves should be steeped for at least 3-4minutes before drinking for full taste. Pouring hot water over a sieve containing some leaves is not correct tea preparation. The leaves should be in a pot, covered with water of correct temperature for type of tea, permitted to steep a few minutes, and then the liquid poured into a cup with a sieve over the rim of cup. The person in charge of training should read about the processes or go to China, London, Van Couver, DC's Willard or Hay-Adams Hotels to learn how to present an afternoon tea. The lemo...

Beyond miniature scones, tea leaves everywhere and they barely even get wet. There’s no steeping here. The water is poured over an overstuffed strainer sitting on top of the cup. Makes zero sense. Serve skim milk instead of half and half, much less, cream. So little clotted cream, forgot it was even on the table. No substitutions permitted with the tea sandwiches. What a waste to toss so many out from what we didn’t eat. Overall, a horrible experience. We do afternoon tea everywhere we go! This was our most disappointing one, hands down.

If you have never been to the Cavalier and the many things you can do their you are truly missing out on one of Virginia Beach's finest locations. The Raleigh room inside is amazing. During the holidays the entire hotel is beautifully decorated. Their food and drinks are devine. P.S. you must try their Ghost Cat drink ???? PURELY DEVINE! My husband and I love to come here to people watch, listen to music, and have a coffee and dessert some nights to round out our evening or date night. It's a beautiful piano bar/lounge with interesting wall decor and framed satirical historic art on the walls. Live music here is pretty great most of the time and the crowd is always popping. We love the French press and sorbet but service is hit or miss bc, sometimes we can get it, and sometimes we're told they don't Reserve uma mesa agora

I have been to this restaurant several times now and although I love the views, music, cocktails, etc., I am consistently let down by the female bartenders. They always seem rude and unfriendly, appearing annoyed to be there. For such a nice establishment, I expect better service from the bar staff. If being friendly to customers is not their strong suit, they should reconsider working in hospitality. A simple greeting and a smile would make a big difference.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. It's always a great time whenever I visit. The bartenders are fantastic as well. The only issue is that the place is consistently booked for wedding parties. The entire downstairs is usually reserved. While I understand the popularity, it would be nice to have a designated area for the public during these events. I recommend calling ahead before making plans to visit. That's all.

The Raleigh was a very nice touch to end our 5 -days in Virginia Beach. Our waitress was very nice and surprised us with a small cake for our anniversary. The violinist was great,music of past and present. The high tea was a special treat! Thank you Raleigh Room!

Sooo my wife, and kids did our bi monthly trip to ?BECCA AND THE RALEIGH ROOM THE CAVALIER!! We didn?t realize that the new menu(for Raleigh, and Becca) were revealed today. We HAD AN AMAZING TIME AS ALWAYS. I cannot say enough about it!! Reserve uma mesa agora

Having tea at the Raleigh Room is a truly enchanting experience. The service and decor are exceptional, and the piano music is simply incredible. I highly recommend it if you want to have a lovely time with friends and family.

Nice garden party. Enjoyed the acoustic music. For price of event, there should be more drinks included. Food was good. This event had no dessert. Prior events have had dessert. A place for dirty dishes would be nice.
