The Jolly Waggoner Public House

We went for lunch here on a Saturday with our one year old and loved it. The outdoor area is beautiful with covered seating and a play area that kids loved. The food is delicious and the staff so nice. Just a lovely hospitable, happy atmosphere. The village of Ardeley is absolutely charming and if you have time we’d strongly recommend going around the farm and farm shop next to the pub. Fantastic family day out. Thank you!

Twice recently we (a group of keen walkers) have used the Jolly Waggoner as a base for a morning walk followed by lunch. Top marks to the pub which is authentically English in the best way and to the staff who are welcoming and attentive. Once we lunched inside and once outside and both times enjoyed good food and attentive service. We'll be back, regularly. Thanks.

Perfect end to a hard week. Manuella was our waitress such a lovely lady. We’ll def be back looking forward to having the delicious whitebait again. Great garden for kids too!

Best pub in hertfordshire, friendly staff and quality service. Since changing hands Ive never been disappointed! Keep the good work team!

I met a friend for Sunday lunch. The food was nice and the staff were very friendly but I did find the menu (Sunday) a bit limited.
