The Lamb - Reservar uma mesa

We live locally and have now visited times for food since it reopened, location is great for us and we would love to use it more, however....... Also been a couple of times for drinks outside last summer. It is clearly popular and has...been busy each time we have been. Unfortunately it has gerenerally disappointed (we've been around a while and have eaten out regularly). The food is good but not marvellous and the mains menu choice could be better, the service last time was mixed with plenty of young but relatively untrained staff. The tables are often small for the number booked and this time the tables and chairs were very wobbly easily fixed. In the bar area they are very close together...

Visited between xmas and new year to celebrate my birthday. Really cosy and inviting atmosphere staff were very friendly. We tried different dishes between the of us including of the fish specials. All were very good and my and old kids greedily sampled all of them and gave their seal of approval. Have seen other reviews saying menu was limited and commenting on food. Our experience could not have been more different wide choice of dishes for a gastropub, everything was delicious and well proportioned. Service was excellent. Pub was full but tables are sufficiently spaced out to be comfortable. Would highly recommend, have been to lots of pubs and restaurants in the area and for overall enjo...

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it ended up being just average and overpriced. We were seated at the wrong table even though we made a reservation for two. The staff, although very young, should still be knowledgeable enough to not spill a drink and neglect to clean it up. Additionally, the choice of small sherry glasses for wine was quite odd. The fish dish was ruined by an excessive amount of capers.

A simple menu but with superb choices. A real older feel to this lovely country inn but with modern charm and modern food. I had the liver and bacon which was excellent, the creamy mash delightful. The sticky toffee pudding is the best I have...ever had and the starter of crispy crayfish was made with juicy good excellent quality crayfish. Staff also very efficient and accommodating. A definite recommendation.

The whole experience was underwhelming at best. such a shame. I'll spare the details but we attempted to provide some constructive comments to the assistant manager' but she really could not have been less interested. We were looking for a local alternative to The Hare...in Milton u Wychwood, but The Hare beats this place in every regard. Dont waste your time or money here, go to The Hare.
