Today, we went to The Logan Rock for a Sunday roast, lured in by the promise of delicious food at a well-known restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, especially considering the high price of £21.95 per plate. On the positive side, the quality of the meat was good. It was tender and flavorful, showing that care was taken in selecting high-quality cuts. However, the portion size was very small, especially for the price. Despite the satisfactory meat, the serving size left much to be desired, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and somewhat cheated. Moving on to the side dishes, the vegetables were hot and tasty. This restaurant is reminiscent of traditional pubs before they were all taken over by big breweries. It has an open fire, wooden beams, comfortable seating, and excellent staff. We enjoyed a quick lunch of a burger and locally brewed beer. My friend opted for a local dish and we were both pleased with our meals and the reasonable prices. It wasn't crowded during this time of year due to the weather, but I imagine it would be bustling in the summer. I plan to return before peak season to avoid any potential sea fog ruining the day.

The staff at the restaurant were friendly and efficient. However, the Sunday lunch was both expensive and mediocre. The beef and lamb were flavorful, but the roast potatoes were overcooked and could not be cut with the provided steak knife. The base of the dish was rubbery. The cauliflower cheese was decent and the cabbage was freshly cooked, but the swede was watery and lacked flavor. At £21.95 each, the meal was considered very expensive for the quality of food.

We popped into the pub for some lunch after a coastal path walk, and wow, what a treat it was. It was a cold, windy walk and to come into such a warm and friendly atmosphere was lovely. The food was amazing and all in a lovely setting. The fire was roaring, and it was lovely and cosy. We cant wait for a trip back down west to visit the pub again.
