After the hustle and bustle of Christmas, I decided to go to a restaurant that has always been a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, the service was slow from the moment we arrived at the door until we placed our drink order. They were running a special on cocktails, but when we received the bill, we were charged full price for all drinks. After bringing this to their attention, they adjusted the bill, but it made us wonder how many others had been overcharged without noticing. I went to the Millstream as we were new to the area and wanted to give it a go. We booked a table the day before, as we thought it would be busy being a Sunday on the run up to Christmas. Had we not...booked, we wouldn't have got a table. As it was, we did have to wait minutes, but I thought that was reasonable given the place was packed!! The server was polite and efficient, and our food came out after a fair amount of time. I ordered a small turkey roast dinner, which was delicious. I'm glad I went for the small, as there too much for me. My husband got the regular roast meal. Again it was big, but he didn't find the quality to be anything to write home about. My recent experience at The Millstream was exceptional. Last week, my party enjoyed a delicious meal and a few drinks. Our waitress, a young girl with long blonde hair, was incredibly efficient and kind. Unfortunately, another table nearby had difficult customers who started causing a scene by shouting at a waitress. However, the manager handled the situation calmly. I must also commend the bartender, a young man with long brown hair in a side parting, who remained calm and collected during the ordeal, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and making us feel at ease. My daughter and I wanted a quiet drink as she had a difficult day.. when we arrived it looked very busy but we were found a quiet corner very quickly and we were looked after very well! years ago I left a bad review...but they have exceeded their limits and I recommend this place very much..
