The Northgate - Reservar uma mesa

Very quiet for a Friday lunch. Only one other couple in. Placed us by the open window which had a lot of traffic noise from a nearby road and exacerbated a hearing problem so we asked to move which was not a problem. The food was delicious except for a potato rosti dish which was a little grey and looked as if it had been around a while. Except for that one side dish everything was really lovely. Young waiter and owner? Were very attentive with a really nice touch to get a Happy Birthday ‘cake’ at the end. Our undrunk wine was ‘corked’ for us to take home . We plan to go again.

Food and service fantastic, however when booking through open table, the 21st birthday celebration was not acknowledged, despite me adding to the “reason for booking” section. Out waiter said the restaurant was not aware open table say they were… Had I known I would have requested a special dessert when arriving, but was under the impression staff knew, so was very underwhelmed by the end of the evening as no gesture or mention had been made to my daughter!

A menu which looked and tasted delicious! The best food and service we have experienced for quite a while in this country! Have recommended to many others already -and it was only last night!

Fantastic food as ever. Eaten at the Northgate a few times now and never fails to disappoint. Great venue, great food, great cocktails and great service.
