The Oak Inn - Reservar uma mesa

I came to the oak on a Wednesday for dinner with my girlfriend. The second we stepped foot through the door we felt welcomed. Being the time of year it is and the time we decided to dine it was quiet whilst still exceedingly atmospheric. After being served our drinks by the attentive bar staff (a very lovely lady whos name escapes me), the head chef alex struck up a conversation with us from behind the bar. Clearly a man that knows his food, his menu and commands a perfect execution of the dishes he prepares. Whilst we were perusing the menu, the chef; Alex, instead of forcing the most expensive items on the menu upon us, helped us to find items that perfectly suited what we were looking for...

Nice boozer for darts. However £4 for a 330ml bottle of peroni zero is a tad over the top that equates to around £7 a pint. Hardly encouraging for a driver or anyone else not wanting an alcoholic beer. Especially as at wholesale they are 87p each.

Excellent home cooked food and great friendly service. Highly recommended. We are hoping to move to the area and though we would check out the local pubs, lucky to find this one, we will definitely be back.

Lovely Christmas meal. Absolutely delicious and plenty of it. Very friendly atmosphere and service. Highly recommend.
