recently visited on a week night for a family dinner. overall, eating was ok (with taking the Aubergine curry). the service was awfully slow and the supervisor/manager had a real job and was not friendly at all. after a first greeting. we were shown on our table and after a certain waiting ordered our drinks with the superior. one of our parties (old ordered a non-alcoholic apple wine, only to be challenged for id. when we explained that as a child with an adult to eat and order a meal that allowed the law that the year old even have an alcoholic apple wine, and that was only one, he claimed we were wrong and that the spatial license does not allow. we wanted to avoid a argument that we acce...

The Old Bull's Head has recently been renovated into a stylish, upscale bar and restaurant. It's a great place to grab a drink, enjoy a Sunday lunch, or have a delicious evening meal. The decor is fantastic with plenty of cozy leather sofas, good lighting, and a small covered patio area outside. The menu is extensive and includes salads, pasta dishes, pizzas, and classic favorites like lasagne and fish and chips, all with a modern twist. They also offer a daily specials menu for those looking for something new to try. The staff is helpful and professional. It's recommended to book a table in advance as it can get quite busy, especially on weekends.

I 'm not sure if this is the right pub as it looks wrong on the map, but if it is, the food here is fantastic! The scallops of the day are my guilty pleasure from this place, the ala carte menu is superb! It sounds expensive when you read the menu but is well worth it. This is my favourite place to eat in Leicestershire, unfortunately we don 't get as often as I 'd like. The only reason it doesn 't get the 5th star is because the staff can sometimes be 'uninterested ' and service can be slow. But well worth a visit if your in the area!

we visited the old bulls head at numerous locations and had mixed reviews after our experiences. I took my wife to birthday on the last Tuesday night. the personal rushes the customers to place their meal orders and clearly not like it when they are asked...for more time. the main square was served before the starters were cleared! with us it was said that the bar is closed and asked if we want more drinks. the whole experience was quite bizarre, but if they like almost food restaurants, this is definitiw for them. We took our god daughter and her husband and old son here for dinner. The staff were really welcoming and it is a nicely decorated restaurant without being overly Farrow Ball' if you see what I mean. Great menu and a good wine...list. Our waiter Noah was very helpful and attentive and really made us welcome with a degree of genuine enthusiasm rarely seen in this trade. Our food was well prepared and presented and the plates were hot which is a thing or mine. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant to you.

Great decor, nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good choice of a' la carte dishes and cheaper pasta's, burgers pizza's if dining on a lower budget. Main thing is that the food quality is high. We have visited as a family several times and enjoyed it, but on the odd occasion slower service and food not so good, but as a whole a nice dining venue and trip out to the countryside makes this an enjoyable place to go.

I came here for a belated Mother's Day meal for Sunday lunch. The prices are on the higher side, but the dishes we had were excellent. You can get a mixed meat roast for a similar price. All the meat was cooked perfectly, with generous sides and trimmings. The service was a bit slow but understandable on a busy Sunday. (Visited on 05/18/2014 for lunch)

A lovely intimate setting in the countryside. Only reason for 4 stars is a lot of the vegetarian menu was not available today.
