The Old George Inn

so a pretty pub. recently made by the new owners. when we arrived, the fire broke and felt so cozy. They have two pigs and three rabbits outside. we first only came in for drinks, but after a while one of us got something too hungry and had to try something. I'd have been overheard by others who bite over eating. I went for the Rump-Steak, who made medium rare. Now, it was done to an absolute need. it couldn't be beaten. so delicate and tasteful. many chips I ended with sharing with those who had not ordered food. this pub is such a fortune for the village. I wish them every success!

Superb food great little pub, very friendly staff. Highly recommended. Went again tonight and the difference between the 2 visits was unreal. I ordered a burger which was rather raw in the middle. When I told the staff it was a little too pink for me I was told it was fine to eat. As I didn't eat any more the staff did offer to replace my meal but the wife had finished so there was little point. I was again told it was fine to eat. They didn't charge us for my meal but too little too late and unfortunately we won't be back. We were so happy after the first visit as it was stunning.

really nice little village pub. we received a very warm welcome and service was excellent. eating was very well sorted portions and very tasty. our only food criticism was that the gammon, while well cooked and beautifully served, was simply too salty for the children! this was a minor complaint to the rest of the experience, which was extremely good.

since over a decade visits this pub and I love to visit again. very welcoming and warm atmosphere, good eating, friendly staff and very attentive. many hearts and souls and went into this place to make what it is a great place, but also beautiful to see here also some new faces! well made for creating a great pub and restaurant!

we found the old george inn after a 5 miles walk around the land and paths of high bickington. the beer was cold and the garden was a beautiful sunfall.
