was often in this pub and always had a really great experience, but unusually we went to dinner instead of lunch, on a busy Saturday night and overall it was not as good as in the past. that eating was still excellent, really good. Actually, but we were unusual to be a few while there were more groups of 4 and above. the noise levels were incredible and the service was slow, despite the fact that the person we took as a lead server was literally between the tables. we also asked one of them if they were short-size and surprisingly they said they were not, but that some people were completely new. we had to order drinks more than once. I managed to book a table for the wrong Friday so promptly turned up with friends to not have a reservation. They couldn't have done more to help out when clearly it was really busy. They gave us a table for an hour or so...in the restaurant and then reserved us a table in the bar area for our desserts. Could easily have told us they were full and that was that. The service was excellent as was the food. What could have been a total disaster turned out to be a really good night. Will definitely return and this time get the booking right.

Travelled down to event at Brooklands and booked the Old Plough after reading reviews. The reviews were right great pub. We were only eating there one night to begin with but food was that good we booked second night. Advise booking as gets very busy....Cant fault the place just a shame its 180 miles from home would be in there all the time.

Another amazing lunch at The Plough yesterday. The food was outstanding as always and the staff are so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I really can’t rate this pub highly enough. I travel an hour to get there. I just wish it was closer...to home.

A great atmosphere with a good variety of delicious food. Although it was very busy service still good and nothing was a problem. Would recommend to everyone.
