The Old Thatch Inn

Great Christmas dinner, turkey and especially ham were beautiful and of very good quality. The stewed beef (daube) was class also. We had salted chilli chicken and garlic mushrooms to start which were lovely. The thatch is very homely inside and has a nice atmosphere. The reason I’d give it 4 and not a 5 is the cocktails were just OK (espresso martini and bramble) and the service wasn’t great at all. Don’t get me wrong lots of young people walking around and asking you if you need anything, but I think it might be better if they assigned your waiter/waitress to your table for the duration of the meal. Stopped here for lunch last week and it was absolutely delicious. The girl who served us was really friendly and the place had a really nice atmosphere about it. Theres loads to choose from on the menu and the food was amazing!! Would highly recommend...

Excellent local food and drinks in a truly authentic, but updated and bright, clean Irish pub. Very friendly service too.
