This restaurant was such a lovely surprise for a vegan. There were plenty of vegan choices as well as ones that could be adapted to vegan which the waiters happily explain how. I went with my family and had the smoked tofu stir fry which had amazing flavour and was full of fresh veggies. The service was amazing, the waiters were friendly and helpful but still very professional. You can tell it is a popular restaurant from how busy it was and although we waited awhile for food it was a pleasant wait as the staff were so attentive and the restaurant was lovely. we had a very good Sunday dinner here: vegan mezze with delicious homemade baba ganoush and hummus (and cheeze,) followed by tofu curry and tomaten cheezy gnocchi. my only peeve was that the curry was served in a separate dish to the rice dish a little diligent, as there was no spoon. there were even puds that were not sorbetgas. chocolate torte and affogato with coconut ice cream. the food was made clear with care and thought. the kneipe is also near two beauty spots that are ideal for hiking: st martha’s hill and newlands corner.

I've been here a few times, once with my friend and with my family, both are carnivores. that is a nice restaurant that can meet in the middle. it obviously has good options for carnivores and also a vegan menu. the suppe is always amazing and fresh and I can also for the gnocchi vouch. not many places like these can be special for meat heads, but also for us! and they have vegan cheese!

the menu offers many vegan adjustments. I had the mushroom burger (vegan option that they have explained, did not come into the bungalow as it contained ei, so instead I had it on a pitta with both a sidealat and chips. they also used vegan cheese. I can recommend it very much!

had the nice meze (veganized to start. great plate and one of the best babaganosh I had. as long as you like garlic! be warned .. the mushroom burger was very tasty and roberto gave us fantastic service. meat options also for the mixed family . highly recommended
