The Plough - Reservar uma mesa

Was really looking forward to going to the plough, we are local (10 mins away) but hadn’t made it until now. Obviously a busy Easter weekend but I think short staffed, took a while to order and we had to ask. After about 25minutes our main courses arrived, we refused them and said we were waiting for our starters. Our waitress returned to check what we had ordered, apologised then after a few minutes returned with the main course, apologised again and told us our starters were on the way. We agreed that we would take the food but obviously cancelled the starters and said it wasn’t very good! Food was fine, nothing special but okay. Asked for the bill and this was incorrect, so recalculated....

The food was great, but the service was bad. As soon as the order was finally taken, the food came out quickly, so obviously there was no problem with the kitchen.

Would recommend this jewel of a place. The Hughget pee was melted deliciously in the mouth. Exceptional value and friendly warm service.

Lovely food but very limited menu, especially when they run out of things
