Despite dining early in the evening, we were disappointed by the limited selection available at the counter, especially at the fish section. The menu displayed prices per kilo for fish, but the staff informed us that prices were now based on each item, with all vegetables and extras priced separately at £4-£6 each. As it was a special birthday celebration, we decided to order despite not finding our preferred choices. Unfortunately, when the food was served, the chips were dry and tough, and both the onion and leek were overcooked and reheated. We were surprised to be charged £10 for two starters of garlic bread. The final bill for our party of four exceeded £200, including a service charge...

This was a nice hotel but in my opinion the changes they have made to the layout and problems we encountered have turned my opinion. On our visit they were having major technical problems with the phone/Internet which caused us issues along side other problems in our room coffee machine, extractor fan not working)which was not acceptable and was reported.But for me the layout change to the bar area has detracted from the character of the building and doesn't work. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food ok but overall it was disappointing.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant, where the staff was attentive and polite. Despite being quite busy, there was a slight hiccup with the ordering system that caused a delay in receiving our desserts. However, the waitress handled the situation well and arranged for complimentary coffee with the manager, which we appreciated. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be returning in the future.

This restaurant is amazing! I loved being able to see and order my food at the deli counter. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The tapas starters were perfect for our large group. The only downside was that the wine was a bit disappointing because it couldn't be served at room temperature since it came up from the cellar.

I think this place has gone downhill in recent years. The ambiance is very good it’s a shame the food doesn’t match. 8 of us dined on a busy tues,we waited over 40 mins from ordering,food was not hot at all. Sides (nothing included in £30 steak) were poor. None of us will be hurrying back
