The Queens Head - Reservar uma mesa

We booked a table online and paid £5 per head to reserve the table for Sat eve. Unfortunately, due to a family member feeling unwell, we had to cancel, which we did, a full 36hrs before the reservation on the Friday morning, before leaving for Windermere, so that they could at least fill that table if needed. We rang the Queens Head to say sorry for cancelling the evening reservation but we 'd like to eat earlier and could we rebook for lunchtime instead The lady, should 've got her name, said 'of course, what time ' we said about 1pm and would the £20 already paid reserve the table? Great building in a stunning location. Very tastefully decorated. Very welcoming with a decent selection of drinks. Menu fine. Ordered ham sandwich but was rather disappointed

Table given away, party included 91yr old and Type 1 diabetic. No signal to explain our 15min delay. No hospitality or empathy. Disgusting after 2hr drive.
