Decor as expected for a pub, but tired. It has been a long Covid-19 pandemic and many businesses have suffered through, perhaps after business picks up the decorations will get a face lift? Staff, two servers, were very good and they deserve more traffic than we saw. Hopefully their resurfacing from the past two years will reward them more properly than current traffic. We have been regular visitors to this local Pub through many years. We enjoyed the warm, friendly Staff but a lot has changed. There is no longer a regular Bartender. Peter, who was amazing, has left a few months ago. Most Staff now run behind the Bar to pour drinks for table service. Customers sit at the Bar and are ignored. People often sit alone and used to enjoy a chat. Younger Staff have no time or interest. Too busy chatting to each other. Prices have increased substantially which is not in line with other similar Pubs. Menu is shorter due to ‘Staff shortage’. Most expensive Guinness in Oakville. Fantastic!! We had a party of 7 and everyone loved every dish. The server was extremely friendly and helpful, the service was pretty quick and the food was fantastic! We had our eye on the curry special and our server said it is one of her favorites it is now one of ours. The fish and chips were big beautiful pieces of fish, the batter was light and crispy and everything was perfectly fried and not oily. The Greek salad was really good and bigger than we had expected. The stir fry special was not something we expected to see on the menu but was excellent. Our daughter was in seventh heaven. We live in Oakville and have been here a number of times. Classic old school Pub. The food has always been tremendous. Service is friendly. Good selection of beers. Fun pub atmosphere.
