The Ramblers' Rest

hubby and I stopped here after a nice walk near millington. the ramblers rest is easy to find with on street parking outside. the building is very quirky with nudes of character and beautiful old stone floors. the tables are nicely spaced, not too small and very beautiful laid. there is also a good size outdoor seating area with some tables and chairs and also some picnic benches under a pavillon. we had a tee and a coffee and a piece of homemade celberry bakewell that was absolutely delicious! the marmelade was also excellent and clearly homemade! there were even celestials in the frangipane and fluffed mangle on the top! a huge disc too! definitely worth coming back! this place is simply beautiful! managed by really friendly and personable profis, everything clean, so beautifully decorated and comfortable. and eating, all made home, is absolutely delicious and plentiful. we can not recommend

we called for an early lunch and were delighted with the quality and quantity of food. it was not wildly adventurous, but enough different for us to stumble about what to try! it was also modest in trips and very happy service.
