Ok, so listen I've had The Real Thing on my checklist for years I don't know if I told y'all, but I'm a Pisces, and as a Pisces, I'll be the first to admit that nothing in the real world lives up to the fantasies in our mind, so while I often find myself enjoying the places I've checklist, nothing ever truly fully lives up to the hype. ... Best cheesesteaks in Baltimore hands down In comparison to Philly cheese steaks. I don't like the fact that I can't preorder the food and have to go into the establishment to order it then wait. It's always crowded with a group of college kids. Which can be loud and annoying. Also it's cash only! Another annoying thing but soooooo worth it once you get the food. The subs are large and meaty and flavorful! The fries are decent too. I add gravy and cheese to them. The parking the decor and service are mediocre but i don't care cause the food tops it all.

Even though I haven't eaten in the restaurant, everytime I've gone in, there has been a neighborhood local just hanging out. The owner is clearly adored and the food is SO good!! So far it's the best cheesesteak I've found in the areaFood: 5/5

It was the best cheese steak I've ever had. Customer service and atmosphere are nonexistent but I think it adds to the charm of this hole-in-the-wall place.Food: 5/5

Just a great cheese steak and fun back and forth with the owner. The inside atmosphere is early sub shop, but it all fits. Can still taste that perfect sub.Food: 5/5
