Celebrated my niece’s Birthday and came back to celebrate mine with family and friends. It was live music night, which they informed us of when booking. I was fine with that as the restaurant is the other side of the pub, well away from the band, so it wouldn’t really bother us. We arrived and a member of staff showed us to our table, but instead of being take to the restaurant we were taken around the corner to a table right next to the music. We were the only people who were sat on this side of the pub that evening. As we headed towards the table the member of staff said” You’d better be quick in case people take your table” ??? Really, really wanted a carvery. Did a Google and The Red Kite came up. We didn't check out reviews because we'd been here before with relatives last year on a weeknight. Remembering how much we enjoyed our first visit we decided to have carvery today. I had a stroke last year which has left me disabled and from the moment we arrived the staff greeted us and checked I was safely navigated to my seat. (Disabled access is limited so check first). Chef came out to suggest how we get me plated up and served easily. Plate arrived and it was chock a block with vegetables and meat. All very tasty. My son and partner took me for birthday meal food was amazing staff could not do enough for you. Having lived down the road many years ago seen the pub change many names.i was proud that they exelled with the food and should be proud.nnb

Absolutely fantastic Sunday carvery, plenty of choice, with the best honey roast parsnips ever and the chocolate cheesecake was to die for! Excellent service and friendly staff!
